ACRYSTAL® thixotropic agent
thickener for two-component acrylic resin systems, thixotropic , odorless, non-toxic, mixing ratio (parts by weight): 0.2 - 0.3% on the respective acrylic resin mixture (at 20 ° C), maximum 1.5% of the total amount
Acrystal Thixotropic Agent is used to thicken the Acrystal mixture. It also improves the adhesion of the laminating resin to the mold walls during coating or laminating. The agent is dosed at 0.2 to 0.3 (max. 1.5) parts by weight per 100 parts by weight of the mixture. With a dosage of up to a maximum of 0.5 parts by weight, the mechanical properties of the end product are not changed.
At the end, the thixotropic agent is slowly added to the finished mixture of liquid Acrystal and powder to the desired level consistency stirred in. This mixture must be processed immediately.
Excessive thixotropic agent can prevent setting and reduce the mechanical properties of the final product.
