Product information "TFZ pure tin 95% SN/SB/CU lead-free bars"

TFZ pure tin 95% bullion

Handy bars of 250g each - easy to melt down and handle.

Pure tin SN95 / SB4 / CU1 lead-free (also for products that come into contact with food) with HIGH-GRADE micro-cleaned tin in its purest form with very good flow properties compared to other lead-free alloys.

This pure tin alloy with copper and antimony meets the highest requirements and was developed in cooperation with a professional foundry for the casting of miniatures and models.
By adding antimony and copper, this pure tin alloy achieves a higher degree of hardness compared to pure tin without copper and antimony.

Tin (Sn)

The metal tin has been around since at least 3500 BC. known.
Tin is used in many ways as an alloy component, alloyed with copper to form bronze or other materials.
Nordic gold, the alloy of the gold-colored euro coins, contains 1% tin, among other things.

In Latin, tin is called stannum, hence the chem. Symbol Sn.
Tin has a very low melting point of around 230 degrees Celsius.

Antimony (Sb)

Most of the antimony produced is processed into alloys to harden lead and tin alloys.
Unlike all other metals, when the melt cools, it expands (as a result of transformation into another modification):
The antimony content can be adjusted in such a way that such alloys do not shrink or even expand a little when cooling down. In the case of parts produced in casting moulds, the metal presses into all nooks and crannies when it solidifies, so that even complicated shapes and heavily patterned surfaces can be produced without voids be able.

copper (Cu)

Copper is also a component of many alloys such as B. brass (with zinc), bronze (with tin) and nickel silver (with zinc and nickel).
